Has Different Dog put its prices up?

Not since we started recording. We have read Different Dog's prices on 16 dates between 13 July 2026 and 14 October 2026, and at all five dog sizes we check, every reading matched the one before to the penny, apart from the change in what we record on 14 October 2026, explained below. Our log holds no price change for it.

Its introductory offer has changed, though. Our log records two changes to it: the offer withdrawn on 25 August 2026 and an offer added on 28 August 2026. Its current offer: 20% off your first two boxes plus a free treat. An opening offer moves no ongoing price, so those changes are listed separately below and not counted as a price change.

On 14 October 2026 we changed what we record for Different Dog. Until then, every figure here was the price per day Different Dog's signup shows on its plan step. That figure turned out to be the price of the first box, its starter box, spread over the weeks until the next delivery. From the second delivery a dog is sent its ongoing box, which is larger at every size we check and carries a delivery charge the first box doesn't. From that date each figure is the ongoing box as its checkout prices it, delivery included. The plan-step price itself had not changed to the penny at any size, so the step in the table is a change in what we record, not a price rise.

Different Dog doesn't publish a price list. It quotes a price per dog at the end of its signup, so the only way to know whether it has changed is to ask it again. We walk that signup ourselves at five dog sizes and record what it quotes, and this page is every reading we hold.

Price per day at every reading

The ongoing price for a neutered adult dog on typical walks, delivered, after the introductory offer ends, newest first. 16 readings: five full readings and 11 weekly checks.

A full reading walks a whole set of dog profiles through the signup and records every quote. A weekly check re-prices the sizes shown and compares each with the reading before. A dash means that size wasn't part of that check. Figures are shown to the penny, exactly as quoted. Figures from 14 October 2026 are the ongoing price per day Different Dog's checkout states, plus its delivery charge spread over the days each box lasts.

Changes logged

No price change is logged. Introductory offers appearing or being withdrawn are, and they change no ongoing price:

28 August 2026 Different Dog Introductory offer added, no change to the ongoing price Corrected 29 September 2026: The 20% covers the first two boxes, not only the first. Different Dog's checkout summary, read on 4 September, applies it to both. We cannot tell whether that was already so on 28 August, so it is not logged as a change to the offer. The ongoing price is unaffected, and our first-year figures have counted both discounted boxes since 4 September.
25 August 2026 Different Dog Introductory offer withdrawn, no change to the ongoing price

What these figures cover

Ongoing, not introductory. Opening offers change far more often than prices do, so they are logged separately and left out of every figure here.
The same dog as the rest of the site. A neutered adult on typical walks, so any figure here can be checked against the calculator and what Different Dog costs today.
Price per day, not per pack. A brand can change a pack size without changing what a dog costs to feed, and a per-day figure for the same dog is the number a subscriber actually pays.
Every figure is for Different Dog's Full Diet plan, which feeds a dog entirely on its food. Its signup also offers a Partial Diet plan, a smaller portion to mix with other food, which is not tracked here.
Different Dog prices on the daily portion its signup recommends, so two dogs recommended the same amount of food are quoted the same price. A change to the portion it recommends would change what a dog costs even if nothing else on its price list moved.
