Use BowlPrice in ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants

Ask an AI assistant what fresh dog food would cost for your dog, and it can use our calculator to answer, with the same prices, in the same order, as this site. It is free, and there is no account to create.

How to connect

BowlPrice works as an MCP server, the standard AI assistants use to call outside tools. Its address is:

• Claude: open Settings, then Connectors, choose to add a custom connector, and paste the address above.
• ChatGPT: add BowlPrice from ChatGPT's directory once it is listed there. Until then, ChatGPT accepts a connector by address only in developer mode, which you can turn on in its settings.
• Other assistants and tools: any that support MCP over Streamable HTTP can use the address directly.

What you can ask

The assistant gets two tools from us.

• Compare dog food costs. Give your dog's weight (2 to 60kg), age (puppy, adult or senior), activity level and whether they are neutered, and it returns every UK fresh and subscription brand we track, cheapest first: the ongoing price per day, per month and for the first year, the introductory offer, and when we last verified the price. Anything you leave out is taken as an adult, neutered dog on typical walks.
• Price history. Name a brand and it returns every dated price we have recorded for it at five dog sizes (3, 7, 14, 30 and 45kg), with each price change and offer change we have logged.

• Ranked by price alone. Every brand is included, whether or not it pays us, and the order is the ongoing price per day for your dog. Commission never affects it; see how we make money.
• Every link is ours. Answers link to our own pages, and a link to a brand goes through our usual bowlprice.co.uk/go/ redirect, as it does from any page here. We may earn a commission if you sign up that way, at no cost to you, and each answer says so.
• Figures are dated. Prices come from our own sampling of each brand's quote process, and every answer says when they were last verified. Confirm on the brand's site before you order.
• Read only. The tools look prices up. They cannot sign you up, order anything or change anything.

Your data

The assistant sends us only what a tool needs, your dog's details or a brand name, and we keep nothing. The privacy policy has the detail.
