Privacy policy

The short version
BowlPrice collects as little as possible. There are no accounts, no advertising trackers, and we don't sell data to anyone. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful, but only if you accept analytics cookies. Say no (or ignore the banner) and nothing is set, and the site works exactly the same.
The calculator
The details you enter about your dog (weight, age, activity) are processed entirely in your browser to calculate prices. They are not sent to our servers, stored, or shared.
Cookies
BowlPrice sets no cookies unless you accept analytics cookies via the banner. We set no advertising cookies at all. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a consent-denied mode that stores nothing on your device; if you accept, it sets a couple of first-party analytics cookies (named _ga) to count visits more accurately. You can decline, and everything still works.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, for example, how many people use the calculator. We've turned off its advertising features (no Google Signals, no ad personalisation), so it's used purely to improve the site, never to advertise to you, and none of your dog's details are ever sent to it. It only sets cookies or collects identifiable analytics once you've accepted; decline and it stays switched off.
Links to brands
When you click through to a pet food brand, you leave BowlPrice and that brand's own privacy policy applies. Referral links may include an identifier that tells the brand the visit came from us; it contains nothing about you or your dog.
If you email us, we'll use your address only to reply. When our price-alert service launches, subscribing will be strictly opt-in, with one-click unsubscribe, and this policy will be updated before it goes live.
Your rights & contact
Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. For most visitors the answer is "none". Contact: hello@bowlprice.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
